About Me

2008_05260051_2

My name is Kendall Christensen, and I am a teacher at Grandville Public Schools in Grandville, Michigan. I am in my first year in this district, teaching Spanish and English as a Second Language. I primarily work with seventh and eighth graders, with weekly one-on-one sessions with ESL students from grades K-6.

I came to Grandville after teaching middle school Spanish for two years in Pennfield Schools, and, prior to that, an internship at Detroit Public Schools’ Cass Technical High School, where I taught Spanish. Additionally I have worked summers in Bangor Public Schools teaching English, along with the core subjects, to a population of migrant students.

I graduated from Michigan State University in 2010 with a degree in Spanish and a teaching minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.

My goal in creating this blog is to share in my journey of learning about effective integration of technology in the classroom. My posts will reflect my development in the area, and, hopefully, shed some light on the subject of educational technology.
